Catalogue Description.
Enamelled filigree
silver censer, spherical in shape resting on a flared foot with a lid imitating
the shape of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque with seven domes and two minarets,
supported by three sinuous, inclined, S-shaped legs with a twisted rope
pattern, resting on a rounded saucer stylized by silver filigree petals and
inserted into enamelled flower heads, the exterior being adorned with
polychrome-glazed flower heads, mainly rosettes and carnations, painted in
shades of green, turquoise, white and pink, the filigree work presenting mainly
conventional motifs of scrolls and spirals.
H 24 cm .
