Sotheby's Pair of German Jewelled Silver Gilt and Silver Filigree Caskets.

Very poor photograph from the catalogue.

11 cms wide.

The catalogue entry is non committal.

I think probably South German, 17th /18th century.

It would obviously be useful to see better photographs of these objects - the lids appear to be cast and chased.
