Width 14.7 cms.

Lot 117, 11 July 2023, Woolley and Wallis, Salisbury.

These caskets appear quite frequently, this one is apparently inscribed underneath "1900".

Perhaps for use as cigarette boxes.

The saleroom unfortunately doesn't provide an on line image of the inscription.

I suspect that they are mid to late 19th Century, but more research is needed.
