1. The Cabral Moncada Leiloes Silver Filigree Casket.
Size - 8 x 9 x 6.5 cms.
Notes: a similar specimen and another with similar
handles were part of the exhibition "A Herança do Rauluchantim",
Museu de São Roque, Lisbon, 1996, and are represented in the respective
catalogue, pp. 214 and 213, nos. 27 and 26, respectively.

Two filigree boxes showing similar two levels of filigree
work – broader flat wires between which thinner wires are soldered – are
illustrated in Museu de Sao Roque (1996, p. 212, 214). As with the example
here, these too have filigree feet. Another filigree chest, ascribed to Goa,
and also with filigree feet and in gilded silver is in the Khalili Collection
and illustrated in Rogers (2007, p. 243.)
