National Library of Sweden.
Late 17th Century - 1692.
No size given.
This binding is an example of Danish filigree technique from the 1690s. It belongs to the National Library’s Huseby Collection and was once owned by Karren Mogensdotter Skoug.
Her name and the
year 1692 are engraved on the inside of the clasps.
Authors note - the dating on the clasp is a very useful indicator of the age of this particular sort of filigree technique.
