17th/ 18th Century Silver Filigree casket

17th/ 18th Century Silver Filigree Casket.

Currently January 2023 with London Dealer Amir Mohtashemi.

Size - 21 cm high, 25 cm wide, 16 cm deep.

The Filigree work is particularly refined and lightweight on this fabulous piece.

Amir's website makes a very good argument for the Philippines as the place of manufacture, but I remain to be convinced.

Size - 21 cm high, 25 cm wide, 16 cm deep.

Some 18th Century Five Domed Silver filigree Caskets.

At first glance they appear to be related to the casket above.

Another filigree casket of similar form but with five domed lid was recently sold by auctioneers Bonham's - 6 October 2015.

11.5 x 15.8 x 10 cms.

The feet are missing on this casket.
